We had a great take away from Taal, very tasty and generous portion, will order again and visit their restaurant too.

Set meal for 2. The starters were spot on. The main meals were not. Butter Chicken tasted as if come straight from burnt barbecue pit, Smokey and burnt. The Kashmiri chicken lacked any fruit, yoghurt/cream ,also was overly spiced. The Nan bead was very dry and hard. We have eaten here before but this was very disappointing.

I ordered one thing, received something padded out with cheap chick peas, barely a sign of the usual Indian vegetables I look forward to. This has been a real occurrencing theme since you had two branches I'm afraid.

We did not eat the raita, I’m not sure but I think it was off. Everything else was top notch as usual.

Tasty good quality food

Ordered many times from the Taal and on the whole they are very good. However, this is the second time we have ordered a carry-out on a quiet night (Sunday 28th May) and it was certainly not up to standard. The chicken breast pakora was made up of very small pieces of chicken which were either overcooked or they were left-overs from earlier, basically the chicken was quite hard, we have had chicken Pakora before from them which was excellent, this was far short of what we expected. We also ordered spiced onions, mango chutney and pompadom, that is exactly what we got, one pompadom, usually when we order pomapadom we get at least four. All in all a very poor carry out from a restaurant which we expect more from given their recent achievements. The rest of the order was okay'ish, but we have had better from them.

Previously had great experience. Tonight we ordered through an app which stated delivery from 1640. This was selected and order put through. By 5pm the order hasn’t arrived so I phoned to check (primarily due to two hungry children). I was told on the phone that deliveries started from 5pm. I explained that the app we had ordered from (after receiving a leaflet through the door that afternoon with a link for the restaurant ) stared 1640. Felt rather dismissed and was told the order would be out shortly. Food didn’t have the flavour it normally does - usually excellent with a lovely fresh taste. This didn’t taste the same.
